The song was written and produced by Romano Musumarra who later worked with Celine on her 1991 album "Dion Chante Plamondon". The 7" B-side contained an unreleased track "Comment t´aimer", also produced by Musumarra, and the 12" included extended and extended instrumental version. The back sleeve of the 12" indicates "Comment t´aimer" (5:27) as the B-side however, it´s an extended instrumental for the same running time which is engraved in the record. There was no follow-up album. The single was included on Celine´s next year compilation titled "The Best Of Celine Dion". "Je ne veux pas" was never released in Canada. There was no music video made for this track. Celine performed "Je ne veux pas" during few French TV shows in 1997 and 1988.

Originally, "À quatre pas d´ici" was included as the "new song" on the official French compilation album by Celine titled "Du Soleil Au Cœur", released in France in October 1983. "Du Soleil Au Cœur" is also Celine´s first album released in France. Then, "À quatre pas d´ici" was released as the only promotional single from the unofficial compilation album titled "For You" in France (1995). "À quatre pas d´ici" is a French adaptation of Bucks Fizz´s UK number 1 hit "The land of make believe"). The latter was originally written by Andy Hill and Peter Sinfield. Both of them worked with Celine again in 1993 ("Think twice") and 1996 ("Call the man"). "Send me a lover" is a promotional single by Celine Dion released on December 30, 1996 in USA. Originally, "Send me a lover" is a single performed by Taylor Dayne, written by Rick Hahn and George Thatcher, and released on September 6, 1993 from her "Soul Dancing" album (July 12, 1993). Celine´s version (with heavily revised verses and slightly altered chorus lyrics) was a "leftover" from the recording sessions of the "Celine Dion" album in 1992, which remained unreleased until 1994. It was offered for various benefit collections, mostly for women´s causes. First it was released on the "Kumbaya Album 1994". All proceeds from this CD went to support AIDS awareness and services. It also appeared on the "In Between Dances" (1995) (of which profits were given to research on breast cancer), "The Power Of Peace" (1996) (to celebrate the 50 years of CARA), and "Women For Women, Vol. 2" (1996) (another album to get funds for the research on breast cancer). It was also included as the B-side of the UK single "Pour que tu m´aimes encore" in 1995. It was released in September 1983 in Quebec, Canada, and later in France and Belgium. The song was very successful in Quebec. On October 8, 1983 it entered the singles chart and became number 1 for nine weeks. It spent twenty four weeks on the chart in total. Celine received also 2 Félix Awards the next year. "Mon ami m´a quittée" was released later as a single in France to promote Celine´s first album in that country, "Du Soleil Au Cœur". Celine recorded also a German version of this song called "Mon ami, geh nicht fort". It was included as B-side on "Was bedeute ich dir" single, released in Germany in 1984. The song was covered in 1998 as a duet between Anka and Celine for Anka´s "A Body Of Work" album. This version has completely new lyrics written by Anka and is titled "It´s hard to say goodbye". It was released as a promotional single on September 14, 1998 in the United States. Celine and Paul Anka recorded earlier a bilingual version, in which Celine sings in Spanish and Anka in English. Entitled "Mejor decir adios", it was included on Paul Anka´s "Amigos" album, released on July 30, 1996. Adrian Posse and Humberto Gatica wrote the Spanish lyrics. Anka also recorded the song with Regine Velasquez in 1993 on her album "Reason Enough". There was no music video made for this song. Originally, "To love you more" was released in Japan as a single from the album "The Colour Of My Love", on October 23, 1995. It was recorded for a popular Japanese TV drama series, called "Koibito Yo" (meaning "My Dear Lover"), and included on "The Colour Of My Love" album re-release in Japan. Later it appeared on the Asian edition of "Falling Into You", "Live À Paris" ("To love you more" was one of the radio singles promoting this album in Canada), and the U.S. edition of "Let´s Talk About Love", being released as the third (but promotional only) single from this album in 1998. Finally, on April 5, 1999 was released "To love you more (Dance mixes)", not promoting any Celine´s album. "To love you more" became one of the most performed songs by Celine during her live shows and was performed in the setlist of the "Falling Into You Tour", "Let´s Talk About Love Tour", "A New Day...", and the "Taking Chances Tour". Live versions of this song can be found on many of Celine´s DVDs, including "Live In Las Vegas - A New Day...". The track appeared also on "All The Way… A Decade Of Song" greatest hits in 1999 and "My Love: Ultimate Essential Collection" in 2008. "To love you more" won a Golden Disc Award in Japan for Best Single of the Year. The song became a smash hit in Japan, hitting number 1 for 5 weeks and selling 1,240,000 copies. Following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Celine performed the song on the TV Special titled  "America: A Tribute To Heroes". Shortly afterwards on October 16, Sony Music Entertainment released a benefit album called "God Bless America", which featured Celine singing the song. The album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 and became the first charity album to reach the top since USA for Africa´s "We are the world" in 1985. Celine´s version also received enough radio airplay to reach number 14 on Billboard´s Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart. Celine performed the song also a few times during 2002. In 2003, she performed it at the Super Bowl, which was the first time that "God bless America" was performed at a Super Bowl. She sang it on July 4, 2004 in her "A New Day..." show as well. "God bless America" performed by Celine exists in two versions, live and studio. Both included on collections to gather funds for the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and their families. The live version, on "America: A Tribute To Heroes", is from the telethon event of the same name that took place on September 21, 2001. The studio version is on the "God Bless America" album, a patriotic songs CD and on the promotional CD single. It was recorded on September 20, 2001, the day before the American telethon. The song was written by Jacques Veneruso, who later wrote for Celine on "Tout l´or des hommes" and "Je ne vous oublie pas" among others. Celine performed this song few times live with Garou, including 2001 ADISQ Gala awards and the historic performance in front of 250,000 spectators to celebrate Quebec´s 400th anniversary, which was included on "Céline Sur Les Plaines" DVD in 2008. She also sang it as a duet with Marc Dupré in 2002, with whom she recorded "Tout près du bonheur" in 2005. The song was a smash hit in Francophone countries, reaching number 1 in France (3 weeks at the top), Belgium (1 week) and number 2 in Switzerland. It was certified diamond in France (750,000 copies sold), platinum in Belgium (50,000) and Switzerland (40,000). "Sous le vent" made the slowest ever climb to number 1 in Belgium Wallonia, taking 16 weeks to get there. "Sous le vent" won the NRJ Music Awards in 2002 for the Francophone Duet of the Year, and the Victoire de la Musique the same year for the Original Song of the Year. The track was also a B-side to the "A new day has come" UK single and "Tout l´or des hommes" European single. A new version with the 500 Choristes was included on the "Je ne vous oublie pas" single in 2005. "Sous le vent" was also included on Celine´s "On Ne Change Pas" greatest hits compilation in October 2005.

In 2002 Celine Dion recorded the song "I have to dream", written by JD Hinton, Rick Solemn and Ross Vannelli, for the American independent film directed by Mark Medoff, called "Children On Their Birthdays". Inspired from Truman Capote´s story, the movie was only aired in a few american cinemas. The film maintains a 6.3 star rating out of 10 on the IMDb. It won the Platinum Award for Independent Theatrical Feature Films-Family/Children at WorldFest Houston. "Children On Their Birthdays" was available only in 15 theaters in Ohio, Tennessee and New Mexico within the USA. During the film, actress Tania Raymonde sings "I have to dream". The promo CD contains only one song: "I have to dream".

"Ma nouvelle-France" was written by Celine´s longtime collaborator Luc Plamondon and produced by Christopher Neil ("Think twice", "Where does my heart beat now"). Patrick Doyle composed the music. The historic drama "Nouvelle-France" takes place in the middle of the 18th century, as France leaves Canada. The film was directed by Jean Beaudin and features Gérard Depardieu among others. Contacted five months earlier by the producer Richard Goudreau, Celine´s husband and manager Rene Angelil was impressed by the film. Then he gave his green light so that the singer could perform the song "Ma nouvelle-France". "Ma nouvelle-France" peaked at number 7 in Quebec. The promo CD contains only one song: "Ma nouvelle-France".

Celine recorded "Ma nouvelle-France" at the Digital Insights Recording on October 3, 2004 in Las Vegas, USA. Celine recorded a song to make the promotion of the candidature of Paris in the race for obtaining the Olympic Games of 2012. This new version of the song, was recorded on June 21, 2005. The single was labeled as "En soutien à la candidature de Paris 2012: Céline Dion - à Paris". An internationally-known classic by Francis Lemarque, the song is a symbol of Paris, France that has captured the musical imagination of generations. In a message to Bertrand Delanoë, the Mayor of Paris and Paris 2012 President, "Ms. Dion paid tribute to the city that holds a special place in her heart and the Olympic bid that she is supporting". She declared: “It means a lot to me to support Paris 2012. It is as a French woman at heart that I offer you the hymn À Paris". "Tout près du bonheur" was composed in 2000 by Celine for Marc Dupré and Anne-Marie Angelil´s wedding (Dupré is the husband of Anne-Marie Angelil, daughter of Celine´s husband, Rene Angelil). The song originally in English was titled "I´m gonna love you forever". Celine performed it (original version) after the wedding ceremony. During the recording of his first album in 2005, Dupré asked Celine for permission to cover the song. The mother-in-law accepted it at once and recorded background vocals. Tino Izzo produced the track. The promotional CD single was labeled as "Tout près du bonheur - Avec la participation de Céline Dion". Dupré collaborated with Celine already in the past. He was the opening act for her concerts at the Paris Olympia in Paris, France in 1994. They also performed a live duet in April 2002 on "Sous le vent". It was during the widely popular Quebec karaoke game show, "La Fureur", held at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada and broadcast on Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. There are two recorded versions of "Tout près du bonheur". First can be found on Marc Dupré´s debut album, released in 2005. Second one, rock version, was released as a radio and digital download in Quebec in 2006. There is also third but only live version of that song. It was performed on April 30, 2006 by both artists at the Gala Artists in Quebec and featured more vocals from Celine (a whole second verse). On December 22, 2006, Celine and Marc Dupré performed the latter version also during his concert at the Lionel-Groulx Theater in Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, and later during Celine´s historic performance in front of 250,000 spectators to celebrate Quebec´s 400th anniversary, which was included on "Céline Sur Les Plaines" DVD. "Tout près du bonheur" topped the Quebec radio charts in June 2006 for three weeks. On October 23, 2006, Celine and Dupré won a SOCAN Award as composers of "Tout près du bonheur". The music video was supposed to be shot in the Mojave Desert but because of Celine´s health conditions it was directed May 8, 2006 at the Colosseum of the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA by Ivan Grbovic. It features Celine and Dupré, singing the song and playing the guitar (Dupré) at the stage of the Colosseum with footage behind them on the big screen.

This duet, was originally released as the second single from Celine´s Christmas album "These Are Special Times" and first from Bocelli´s album "Sogno". It was released as a promotional single on March 1, 1999. The live duet with Groban, released as one of Celine´s non-album singles, entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 70 and appeared on a few other Billboard charts: Pop 100 at number 50, Hot Digital Songs at number 32 and Hot Digital Tracks at number 29. The single has sold 37,531 copies in its first week. In Canada, the song peaked at number 37 on the Canadian Hot 100 and number 19 on the Canadian Top Digital Downloads. Groban also sang "The prayer" live with Celine 6 years earlier, at the "Concert For World Children´s Day" in 2002. The two first sang the song together in 1999, when Groban filled in for Andrea Bocelli at rehearsal for the 1999 Grammy Awards Ceremony. The originally song, was re-recorded as a duet with the Japanese singer Yuna Ito, and released as a CD single on January 16, 2008. The Japanese title means "As long as you are with me". After, the melody of "A world to believe in" was re-composed and the Japanese lyrics were added for the film "Maboroshi No Yamataikoku", which stars Sayuri Yoshinaga. Celine re-recorded it one more time for the movie, which premiered on November 1, 2008. The single and the soundtrack were released in Japan on October 22, 2008.
