ADISQ GALA
On November 2, 2008 Celine Dion took part at the 30th ADISQ Gala, the awards ceremony by the nonprofit organization with the mission to help the music industry in Quebec. The ceremony took place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. Celine arrived accompanied by er husband Rene Angelil, her son Rene Charles and her mother, Thérèse. During the ceremony, Celine received her 40th Félix Award as an honor award for her outstanding international achievements and merit for the French language and music. The Montreal Symphony Orchestra has prepared with their musical director Kent Nagano and accompanied by star pianist Andre Gagnon a musical tribute in honor of Celine. Luc Plamondon held the laudation for Celine and praised her as a great diva. Celine was very touched and thanked close to tears. "The first time I was on this stage to receive a Félix Award, I was crying and now here I am again. I´m very taken and eternally grateful", Celine said. She continues, despite to all the achievements and many awards, Quebec was always in her heart and her relationship with Quebec mattered the most. "It was here that everything started and where it still continues", Celine said.

On November 13, 2008 Celine Dion and her husband, Rene Agelil visited her doctors at the Saint-Luc-Hospital in Montreal, Canada for a medical examination due to some problems suffered by Celine time ago during the "Taking Chances Tour".
