ON TV SHOW
On September 1, 2003, Celine Dion appered on the broadcast of the Canadian reality television competition show "Canadian Idols", aired on CTV channel. She was just on for a couple of minutes. They showed the footages of the 4 finalists meeting with Celine in Las Vegas, USA on August 29, 2003. Celine told them how they could calm themselves down, and it´s normal to be afraid. When she was asked with the question whether she has ever got tired of signing autography, she said as a singer, she can´t ask her people to go and buy her albums, buy tickets to her show, then also asking them to please leave her alone.
ON TV SHOW
On September 2, 2003 Celine Dion participated on the famous British television music show "Top Of The Pops 2", broadcasted on BBC Two channel. Celine performed the song "One heart". It seems that is the same video aired during "Canada AM" in the mid of July 2003. In fact Celine wears the same dress and the scenografy is the same.
ON MEETING
On September 3, 2003 Celine Dion met Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman and Mike Leonard, chairman of the board of directors for the Southern Nevada Red Cross, at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA. The Mayor and Celine have collaborated on a television ad aimed at raising the $300,000 needed for the Red Cross' Las Vegas flood relief effort. Mayor Oscar Goodman and Celine filmed the spot that day at night at the Colosseum of the Caesars Palace, where Celine was performing. The advertisement, which was expected to begin airing the following day, publicizes Las Vegas' "30 Days of Giving" campaign to encourage donations to the victims of August´s floods in the northwest valley. "We have some great, great Las Vegas entertainers who have been here a long time, Celine is the star of today", Goodman said. "I hope we go way over the $300,000 mark. If we don´t it will be a great disappointment". The money would be used to cover the cost of meals, clothing, medical supplies and emergency shelter provided by the Red Cross since the August 19 deluge.
ON INTERVIEW
On September 15, 2003 Celine Dion appeared on an interview broadcasted on ABC channel. Celine talked about bad reviews for her show "A New Day..." and her albums made by very snobby reporters. She also talked about her new look, her husband Rene Angelil and their son Rene Charles. At the end of interview, lasted about 15 minutes, Celine reveals that she suffered to not have been able to write as well as it would have liked it. "I believe that I write better in English than in French. The French language is very difficult. I do not regret anything, because I still believe today that the school is not for everyone. School isn´t easy, I had difficulty on integrating myself. I wasn´t beautiful, I had problems with my teeth, I were very thin. At school, someone pushed me and I didn´t defend myself. People thought that I wasn´t normal. I did not speak, I was a dreamer. I wanted to stay home. I always day-dreamt. I did not learn so much well". Celine confided at the end. The interview was taped during the party for 100th sold out show of the show "A New Day..." at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA. During the interview, they broadcasted footage from the perty. During the party, Celine stepped onto the dance floor and opened with a speech and she ended it with, "Let´s get this party started!". Celine was challenged by a young tall girl. She was doing a move something like what Elvis used to do. The girl was making her legs quiver and of course this girl couldn´t handle it and she ended up with a side pain she told Celine. Through all of that dancing and the outdoor heat, Celine never broke out in a sweat. Celine looked great her hair style is very cute, now that it is growing out. She was wearing a green dress, with rhinestones on both sides of her shoulders and a beige closed toe shoe.
ON TV SHOW
On September 20, 2003 Celine Dion appeared on the broadcast of the Dutch TV show "Hart In Aktie", in wich Natasha Froger help people with problems, aired on SBS6 channel. During the show, they only showed some pictures of the meeting between Celine and Laura (a sick girl) in Las Vegas, USA. They also showed some footage from "A New Day...", at the Colosseum of the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, USA.
ON MEETING
On September 20, 2003 Celine Dion met a very lucky fan named Sandie (from Copenhagen, Denmark), in her dressing room at the Caesars Palace, where she was performing with the show "A New Day...".
ON INTERVIEW
On September 23, 2003 Celine Dion appeared on interview during the broadcast of a reportage on the TV show "Sept à huit", hosted by Laurence Ferrari and Thomas Hughes and aired on TF1 channel in France. Celine was interviewed by the reporters, Bénédicte Duran and Jerome Mignard, on a limousine in Las Vegas, USA, while the camera shows a street in Las Vegas, with its illuminated flashing signs everywhere. They also broadcasted interviews with Jean-Jacques Goldman, Gildas Arzel and Erick Benzi, they worked with Celine on the album "1 Fille & 4 Types". They also broadcasted footage from Celine and the guys at the recording studio in Las Vegas, and Celine recording the songs "Valse adieu" and "Rien n´est vraiment fini", both from the album "1 Fille & 4 Types".
ON TV SHOW
On September 26, 2003 was broadcasted in the USA and Canada the variety show "The Wayne Brady Show", hosted by Wayne Brady and broadcasted on ABC channel. Brady traveled to Las Vegas, USA to interview Celine at the Caesars Palace. During the interview, Brady tries in every way to gently tease her but Celine defends herself very we. Brady also show to televiewers the items on sale at Celine Store in the Caesars Palace: pillows, pyjamas, T-shirts, and two rods to eat chinese food. During the show, they broadcasted footage from Brady performing in duet with Celine "Love can move mountains" during a show of "A New Day...". The episode also showed Celine´s dressing-room with the amusing comments of Brady. There also was a short but funny interview with Celine´s husband Rene Angelil.
ON INTERVIEW
On September 27, 2003 the famous newspaper "The Gazette" published a long interview with Celine Dion. She talked about her show in Las Vegas, USA. "The show that I have right now", she says, "it would not be possible for me to tour with it. It´s too grandiose, it´s technically impossible to move with it. So it´s given me the chance to have, for my fans, an incredible show. But I can´t travel the world. So they travel to me. I went to their places, they invited me to their homes. Now I invite them to my home. Knowing that I give my fans the best show and also knowing that I give stability to my son, honestly, I think we have an amazing life right now. We have the best of both worlds. We love Las Vegas".
