GENIE AWARDS
On March 20, 1986 Celine Dion took part at the 7th Genie Awards Ceremony, given out to recognize the best of Canadian cinema by the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. The gala took place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada and it was co-hosted by Leslie Nielsen and Catherine Mary Stewart. Actor Leslie Nielsen introduced Celine, who performed the song "Michael´s song" (the English version of "La ballade de Michel", from the movie soundtrack "Opération Beurre De Pinottes"). This was one of Celine´s first english live perfomances.
